Type locality Type locality uncertain: Férussac (1812) introduced the species by indication of an illustration in Brard (1809). That author referred to three localities listed for another species ("On trouve cette coquille avec la précédente"), i.e., Saint-Leu, Taverny and Andilly (all north of Paris, close to each other). However, it is unclear from which of these localities the illustrated specimens comes from, on which Férussac's name is based. [details]
