Spelling Watters (2006) stated "named after Mrs. W,. J. Wilkinson, the name is herein corrected to wilkinsonae". C. B. Adams (1849) did not state who he named the species for and while Adams & Chitty (1851: 177) did mention Mrs. Wilkinson, the name "wilkinsonii" does not qualify as a spelling that must be corrected under ICZN Article 32.5.1.
