Authority Pilsbry (1939) noted that Pilsbry 1917 [a description of the anatomy] "was published before the description of the shell [which first appeared in Pilsbry & Ferriss 1918], but it contained nothing diagnostic of the species". The code does not require, however that a description be diagnostic, so the name should be attributed in Pilsbry & Ferriss, 1917, following the attribution in Pilsbry, 1917.
