Taxonomic remark The species was described as of Bartsch, and the description from the Bartsch’s manuscript kept in ZIN was cited by Golikov & Gulbin (1977) in parentheses. However, Bartsch’s MS contains the statement on the type (and only) specimen which was not cited by Golikov and Gulbin. The latter authors did not designate any type specimens of the species but listed 2 specimens from one sample from off Iturup Island (not type specimens because they were
collected after the description of the species by Bartsch). According to ICZN Art. 72.4.1.1, any, even unpublished, information about the type series may be taken into account. Therefore, Kantor & Sysoev (2006) designated the holotype of Nematoma kinkasanensis Bartsch and the type locality as indicated above. [details]
