Distribution Ampère seamount, rare at 800 m; Josephine seamount, rare in 205-335 m; Hyères seamount, rare at 1060 m; Cruiser seamount, rare at 670 m; Atlantis seamount, rare in 340-1340 m. This is the only rissoid species shared between the Lusitanian and Great Meteor group seamounts. [details]

Biology Type of larval development: direct (non planktotrophic) [details]Diagnosis Shell up to 1.6 mm high, with protoconch of 1.25 whorls and teleoconch of ca. 2 whorls. Protoconch with six to seven minute, wavy spiral threads. Teleoconch sculptured with very strong, flexuous axial ribs and minute spiral threads overrunning the ribs. Body whorl with a faint keel in continuation of the suture. Outer lip not thickened, smooth inside. Inner lip thin, bordering a well defined umbilicus. Shell colour entirely white, translucent.
