Taxonomy The species currently referred to as Tonna cumingii (Hanley in Reeve, 1849) was referred to as Dolium olearium var. testardi Montrouzier, 1863 by Tryon (1885:263). In the text, Tryon mentions "pl. 2, fig. 11" yet on the plate, this species is shown in figure 12. This error gave way to the interpretation Osima (1943) for Eudolium testardi (Montrouzier, 1863) [details]
