Type material 1 sample marked "type" NHMUK 1897.6.30.3 as per 23/04/2014. Further examination of all relevant data as per 25/04/2014 has proven this is indeed the holotype for this taxon. Trew (1987:49) already listed this specimen as holotype, yet this status was never confirmed nor was there any accompanying note with the type sample.
The synonymy had already been confirmed by Melvill & Sykes (1898:35), requiring no further confirmation. [details]
